Jan Misker

In 2019, Points Center for Contemporary Art, in cooperation with the Netherlands’ V2_Lab for the Unstable Media, held an international artist exchange with the residency project “Summer Sessions.”As an extension of this project, we are honored to invite the Project managers Jan Misker and his wife Carina Hesper to start their residencies on November 4.

Jan Misker and Carina Hesper pay great attention to cultural connections and integrate this into their own works. They believe that art can show the world new ways of thinking, loving, and living together. These artists are adept at using a variety of technologies — photography, technology, multi-sensory media, traditions, and storytelling — to connect cultures and to bring the past into the present moment.

Jan Misker, Artists, Cognitive Science and Engineering, and Professional Yoga Teacher. He tried to make the world more interesting by combining artistic ideas with emerging technologies. Projects he leads include a wide range of artworks, science collaborations, the Summer Sessions network for Talent Development, and curating and coordinating art exhibitions.
