2023 Points Artist Residency (Singaporean Artist) Open Call
Points International Artist Residency will invite Singaporean artists for a 1-3 month residency. The residency will help the artist to develop professionally and build networks as well as provide a supportive environment for research and production. During the residency, Points will organise regular visits and networking events with art world professionals, inviting audiences to discover and access the artists’ studios to foster a greater public engagement as well. The artist-in-residence will have the opportunity to showcase their work at the Foundation’s space.
Points Center for Contemporary Art, founded in 2017, is devoted to the creation and recording of contemporary art and the promotion of art and culture. Main projects include artist residency, the construction of an archival database, exhibitions, and public education activities.
The centre advocates “life within art” inviting and supporting the life and creation of global artists in this centre, forming a connection with local art and culture. We espouse contemporary artistic vision and explosive creative power in order to stimulate the energy of globalized contemporary creation. Points devote itself to providing high-quality conditions for art creators and creating an environment and platform for the public to interact with contemporary art.

Technical and Administrative Support
In addition to financial support, artists will receive support from the Points team, including technical assistance, and event/exhibition promotion, and facilitation of collaborating with institutions and audiences.
Studio / Workspace
Living space in Jinxi, Jiangsu with internet access, shared bathrooms, communal kitchens and living spaces for residents.
Resident facilities include technical workshops, public event spaces and exhibition spaces.
Fees and support
Financial Support
Domestic transportation subsidy not exceeding CNY1500, international transportation subsidy not exceeding CNY5000;
Monthly living allowance of CNY5000 (pre-tax);
Pick-up service;
Living space and studio space;
Facilities: exhibition space, woodworking room, small theatre/screening space;
Resources: staff assistance, events and exhibition promotion;
Exhibition: an exhibition before the end of the residency;
Entry requirements: We hope that the artist will provide a public education activity before the end of the residency period. It can be any eclectic style of lecture, open studio, workshop, forum, presentation, etc.
Expectations towards the artist
Application Eligibility Requirements: Age 25 or older; Applicant is the original creator of works.
Screening Mechanism: Points jury members will screen applicants and select candidates for the award.
We will inform the selected artist by email and publish it on the official websites, WeChat public accounts, Instagram, and Facebook pages.
Applying artists must comply with local laws and regulations during the residency period.
